The idea that certain forms of entertainment are antithetical to religious values predates Hollywood. While the majority of Americans no longer believe that Jews control Hollywood, a new poll released by the Anti-Defamation League that suggests there remains a widespread conviction that there is an organized campaign by Hollywood and the national media to undermine religious values. This finding contradicts not only the prevailing myth, but also a 1964 survey in which half of the respondents agreed that Jews controlled Hollywood.

Many Americans believe that censorship of Hollywood is acceptable. According to the ADL survey, American Attitudes on Religion, Moral Values and Hollywood, 59% Americans agree that Hollywood does not share the religious and moral values of most Americans. In fact nearly half of those surveyed believe that the United States is becoming "too tolerant in its acceptance of different ideas and lifestyles".

Filed in archive News on December 29, 2011

Listening to music in the dark is an altogether different experience than listening with visual stimulation. Although the sound is exactly the same, but we hear music differently because the visual distractions are eliminated.

Acoustic Projects in Amsterdam has developed a product for music lovers all over the world. Musicmask, is essentially a blindfold which allows the listener to keep his eyes open. Made from matte black plastic, foam inserts, and an adjustable Velcro strap the quality isn't so lavish but you can listen to music for hours at a time. Listening with the Musicmask on, one focuses more on the music and the minute details in it.

It is sold directly from Netherlands for a retail price of $44.95.
